| The ambitous French Press Jazz Cafe in Lowertown St Paul, with its polished
look, loft seating, and overstuffed couches, is a new destination in St
Paul. Thursday happy hour open mic (no cover) starts at 8p and usually runs
until around 11. The crowd is younger, with many coming down from the
nearby McNally Smith College of Music. Specials on drinks and food,
including $1 Blue Moon or Newcastle on tap. Good cheap evening with some
